Empty Bench

For a nation with too many people, parks rarely have empty benches like this:

My favorite stores have these benches for sale. Curious what my favorite store is? *whispers* The hardware store.

Along with this bench, I love looking at garden thingamajigs, bathroom fixtures, and other things that make the home lovelier. I even bought 2 pairs of ovis 22″ drawer slides one time, in black and these have not been in use since I brought these home 😀

Back at these Hallways

Benitez Hall, UP Diliman

Flashback Friday and grad school memories: Back at the hallway of UPD Benitez Hall.

It felt like I was back in time when I attended a talk last Friday about a controversial topic.

From Benitez Hall

Memories came rushing by: friends who I became friends with after grad school, the rush to photocopy reading materials for the next topic, walking to where we can ride a jeepney to go home, going across the building to buy fishballs and banana cue and simply savoring quiet time at the library to study.

I enjoyed my stay and I have learned so much from our professors and from my classmates as well.

If only I am not too busy being a mom of three kids and a teacher, I would definitely want to go back to school again.

For now, I gotta read about knobs from reidsupply.com for a home project in the works.

Weird Weather

We have been having weird weather these past few days. The other day we had a deluge and it was a terrible time to be on the road. We’ve seen a few cars stopping or stalled because there visibility was next to nothing.

Zero visibility half an hour ago and now sunshine is back. Summer weather.

The husband and I joked that good thing we didn’t have the car washed yet at the nearby car wash place that uses air compressors. Sometimes, there’s that after car wash rains that happen 😀

I got soaked when I got out to open the gate so we can come in our garage.

After an hour and a half, it’s like nothing happened, the sun went shining full blast. Argh.
