I Wish…

First posted here.

I wish to go to this happy place where the breeze is cool and the waters, warm and inviting. I wish to see the setting sun, splendid in different hues. During sunset, who knew that orange and purple could be a perfect color combination?

My son once said to me that people should not say “I wish” because it sounds so much better if people say “I hope” Why? Not only is there an anticipation but an effort to make that hope come true, more than just wishing something to happen.

#Platefuloffun

Amongst the millions of Instagram photos with hashtags, there is one hashtag that I always use for my food photos: #platefuloffun I use it because I have a food blog called: http://platefuloffun.com

In this blog are very simple recipes that I have done at home. This needs to be updated because I have been remiss in documenting what I cook. So I guess I can call myself a food blogger because I cook and blog about food which I have personally prepared.

I have school day lunchbox Chronicles posts. This is a documentation of the packed lunch I prepare for my children.

Picnic at the River

One of the highlights of our 2016 summer vacation was when we went to this river. The children and their cousins swam in the big pool-like holes. They stayed in the silver tent for some snacks. My cousin and I stayed in a little pocket pool. These pocket pools were made by the big machineries quarrying the rocks. It was too hot to stay longer so we went back to have lunch at home. These simple bonding moments with family are the things we look forward to whenever we go back home to visit.

Thinking of long gone summer days in the midst of a typhoon.
