Picnic at the River

One of the highlights of our 2016 summer vacation was when we went to this river. The children and their cousins swam in the big pool-like holes. They stayed in the silver tent for some snacks. My cousin and I stayed in a little pocket pool. These pocket pools were made by the big machineries quarrying the rocks. It was too hot to stay longer so we went back to have lunch at home. These simple bonding moments with family are the things we look forward to whenever we go back home to visit.

Thinking of long gone summer days in the midst of a typhoon.

Colorful Food

We had lunch buffet the other day and aside from these, I had seafood and mostly plant-based food. It was difficult but I managed to not get those creamy cupcakes and chocolate tarts for dessert and instead got fruit slices.

Simple Joys

Let children be children and experience play without the gadgets and laughing just because they are having fun.

Nurturing the Artistic Tendencies

One of the ways parents can nurture the artistic tendencies of their children is not just to have them enrolled in art lessons. They have to be exposed to different kinds of visual arts techniques for them to find inspiration to be creative in their artistic pursuits.

Children are naturally inspired but parents have to create an atmosphere that will make them feel so to beable for them to nurture and grow their artistic tendencies.

One of our children has artistic and musical tendencies and we try to have a balance between the two, When this child is not honing artistic skills, she is playing with her guitar and learning new songs to play too. And yes, there is a request to have a newer and bigger one and so we look at products at musicans friend for ideas.

Nurture these gifts for the arts and music so that we have a more beautiful world to live in.
