Yellow Flowers

I wandered outside in this garden we went to, looking for flowers to photograph while the hubby was talking with friends about cars, high pressure hydraulic hose, fuel injection and things that are familiar terms to me but nonetheless unfamiliar at the same time.

i don’t know what this flower is called, but it sure does smell funny. There were other colors of the same flower, in dark pink, light pink, a combination or both pinks, as well as an orange variety.

Help, what is this called? I also think this plant is like a weed or grass or something wild.

Weird Weather

We have been having weird weather these past few days. The other day we had a deluge and it was a terrible time to be on the road. We’ve seen a few cars stopping or stalled because there visibility was next to nothing.

The husband and I joked that good thing we didn’t have the car washed yet at the nearby car wash place that uses air compressors. Sometimes, there’s that after car wash rains that happen

I got soaked when I got out to open the gate so we can come in our garage.

After an hour and a half, it’s like nothing happened, the sun went shining full blast. Argh.

Slalom

We went to watch a slalom/drifting competition last Sunday afternoon. The kids were excited though they did not enjoy the noise and the smell of burning rubber on concrete.

I took this photo and the son posted it in his Instagram account.

We enjoyed the lively songs being played (it seems like they are using novation launchpad at gc) while each one of the cars dragged and drifted and weaved through the course. There are spectators watching and it seems like they thoroughly enjoyed seeing these cars raced against each others’ time.

Drizzles

I love it when it drizzles. If, however, the drizzling becomes stronger, that is another story.

When we took a scenic mountaintop road trip a few weeks ago, it was slightly drizzling. It was no surprise to see the highway devoid of vehicles with bike racks on the roofs.

This road is a favorite of bikers and motorcycle riders. It is also one of the highways used for music videos, photos shoot for cars and even tv ads with road trips scenes.

We’ve been to this place several times but we never seem to get tired of going there.

Traffic

Ushering in the BER months mean traffic, traffic and more traffic as people flock to malls like moths attracted to a burning candle.

I’m sure a lot of responsible car-owners have started doing tune-ups with their cars to avoid any
inconveniences because I’m seeing car lifts that are full in auto service centers during weekends.

As for us, our ride needs tuning up, a new set of wheels, a re-painting job and a whole lot more of that what-not.
