Jan10 Sunset Photo

jan10

Full day sked with little rest in between occupied pretty much my day today but i still am so much grateful for…

* the youngest child’s better condition to enable her to go to school tomorrow

* long walks for a bit of exercise and a lot of huffing and puffing (lol)

* being able to witness a lovely sunset even if it means i got home later than usual

* playing a few rounds of a card game with the kids before bedtime

* printing of tarp project of our eldest was done today in time for submission (and yes it was given to me even if i didnt have receipt with me bec we are familiar with the staff in the print shop AKA laging nasa mini-mall na yun nakikita)

Jan9: Butter Cookies

Jan 09: the youngest child felt a bit under the weather and so she stayed at home with me today. this was a slow day for which I am grateful that…

* my bunso is feeling better and will hopefully go back to school tomorrow

* I resisted the urge to finish deadlines set for me and instead concentrated on finishing tasks that should have been done long before these deadlines were given: 10+ pants, 20+ polo shirts, several gala (aka pleated) uniforms and lots of hankies ironed

* though the ironing chore was definitely a record of being a top contender for back breaking aches and pains as well as stiff shoulders, it gave me time to concentrate on this task while i was doing some deep thinking

* family dinners and before sleeptime massages for the little ones

Jan8: Pink and Being 65

jan8

spent a tiring day with half of it on the road and most of it offline. This was a memorable day and even if the youngest child feels feverish, I am grateful that…

* we were able to spend more time with our dear family friends who have welcomed us in their hearts. We feel the same way with them too.

* the simple and innocent yet logical questions from the children can elicit a lot of laughter

* the trip going back home was tiring but arriving safe and sound is what really matters

* having a brother who, despite his busy sked and being away from his family, stayed in our home last night.

* my children enjoyed the time they spent together with their grandmother (my MIL) and their cousins

pink is sweet and yes, 65 seems to be the age where dancing in glittery heels and short dresses seem to be the norm

Jan6: Stand Out

jan6

today was a very tiring and trying day which made me realize that there are some things that i should have full control of but instead i didn’t. For all these things I regret not doing I am still grateful that…

*I was able to find something that I was looking for after walking to and fro and looking harder the second time around

*we (hubby and i) can still find humor with situations that test our patience and understanding (not to mention our sanity. har har har!!!)

*amidst all the things that look generic and bland there is something that will catch our attention and will stand out to be noticed

Let us be those persons who stand out among the crowd to make a difference in the dull humdrum of our daily grind.
