Canopy of Leaves

First posted here.

Under the canopy of lush green leaves, we can find solace from the din of a chaotic urban decay. Here, pollution is not apparent. The songs of the birds are melodies that seem to clear the mind. The breeze that cools the warmth from the heat of the sun is a welcome relief. To rest under these trees is not just for the body but for the mind as well.

“Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.” ~John Lubbock

Looking Up

“We had the sky up there, all speckled with stars, and we used to lay on our backs and look up at them, and discuss about whether they was made or only just happened.” ~Mark Twain

Do you take up to look up and see how beautiful the sky is?
