I know, this looks like a crappy photo because of the limitation of the mobile phone. Still, I say, “Don’t we just love full moon nights?” This is no even close to the full moon photos I used to take but as a mobile upload, this will probably do. Here is a better moon photo that I took.

]]>Second full moon for January 2010.Once again, a blue moon after last month’s blue moon.
I read somewhere that this is called the Wolf Moon or Full Wolf Moon.
Farmer’s Almanac has this:
Amid the cold and deep snows of midwinter, the wolf packs howled hungrily outside Indian villages. Thus, the name for January’s full Moon. Sometimes it was also referred to as the Old Moon, or the Moon After Yule. Some called it the Full Snow Moon, but most tribes applied that name to the next Moon.
For me it is fascinating to read these things about the moon.
