I Wish…

First posted here.

I wish to go to this happy place where the breeze is cool and the waters, warm and inviting. I wish to see the setting sun, splendid in different hues. During sunset, who knew that orange and purple could be a perfect color combination?

My son once said to me that people should not say “I wish” because it sounds so much better if people say “I hope” Why? Not only is there an anticipation but an effort to make that hope come true, more than just wishing something to happen.

Fleeting Moments

Fleeting Moment

This sunset that I was mesmerized with, I will never see again. All sunsets are unique, just like all people are. Taking time to stop and appreciate sunsets is one way we can connect ourselves with nature and how everything, however magnificent, can only be admired and experienced fleetingly. We may be in the here and now but when we are just memories that linger in the hearts and minds of the people who love us and whom we have touched in special ways, these sunsets will still be here being admired by the next generation after ours.
Savor special moments that may be gone right before our eyes. Soak in the colors and sounds of these fleeting moments but have these etch in our memories for when the ability to experience these are gone, there are pockets of memories that we can still hold on to and remember with fondness.

Chasing Sunsets

I never could count how many sunset photos I have taken and even how many of these I have posted online.

This is one of my favorites though which I entitled “Chasing Sunset”

Chasing Sunset

That girl “chasing the sunset” is my youngest daughter. She is a “musician’s friend“, our guitar-playing master. She just doesn’t like her videos shown to people she doesn’t know so I can’t actually put one 🙁
