Good thing we always have a stock of pasta noodles for emergencies like this. I used fresh tomatoes and fresh basil plucked from the backyard garden pots. There were several cheese franks that I used for the pasta (I rarely use hotdogs for pasta and we rarely have hotdogs in the freezer).

Topped with cheese (no photo) and eaten with buttered toast, it was good.

We had this again the next day but I added olives and baked the pasta before serving. Yum still.

Slightly crunchy chicken slices with orange slices in a sweet and spicy sauce.I like it the fusion of flavors although the chicken, because of the sauce has lost its crunchiness. The sweet spicy flavor is good too though I started to feel  “umay” or felt I had too much even if I haven’t eaten everything yet. Must be the sauce.

The children said my food smelled like orange-scented air freshener.

Lunch time after the presentation of the Boysen KNOxOUT Air Cleaning Paint with pulmonologists.

One Wall One World Breathes Life is a worthy cause to decrease the incidence of pulmonary illnesses. I am speaking based on personal experience since I do have allergic reactions to pollution and sudden weather changes and so is my son who was diagnosed to have asthma.

Spaghetti with meatballs from Red Ribbon. My son’s lunch.

We (my son, youngest daughter and I) decided to have lunch out and they both ordered spaghetti. My son had his spaghetti with meatballs while the youngest daughter had classic spaghetti.

These meals cost less than PhP100.00 (around $2) with a glass of soda.

I had a meal of rice and fried fish. We shared a slice of cake for dessert.

Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cucumber, cheese cubes and olives, my own simple version of a Greek Salad. I may not have the other ingredients for it to qualify as one but the presence of the sliced black olives makes me think this could pass for one.

I often prepare my own vegetable salad like I have stated here. Not only home-prepared salads are inexpensive, you know too that the greens have been washed thoroughly
