Sparrow on a Tree Branch
by julie on Jan.22, 2010, under Feathered Friends, Home Front, Photo Hunter
Show dogs on balanced legs entry here and going down a river embankment entry here.
Birds, like these sparrows, are at times difficult to photograph.
They fly from one tree to another and just stay fleetingly to rest. One needs sharp eye too, to be able to spot where they are resting
I had to crop and zoom this photo (hence the not so clear quality) to be able to zoom in to the sparrow on the branches.

I’m always amazed how they balance on tiny branches and tiny wires, and they even sleep that way. I always enjoy getting around and seeing the different views of this weeks theme. Yours is cool!
Drop by and check mine here.

I love sparrows — we occasionally get *hordes* of them moving from tree to tree in the backyard.
Mine’s up!

I like the combination of brown and green. That common brown sparrow looks anything but common!
