There’s no stopping the real estate boom in this country and the way to go is up.

Even in our immediate neighborhood, we see a lot of communities sprouting up, residential buildings mostly. There is this big group of residential buildings that seem to loom wherever we are within a certain radius in the community. Scary, the way I see it, it’s like a reminder that “these residential buildings are here to stay”.

Shudders at the thought that some of these residential buildings being built (not necessarily these ones in the photo) have 40+ units on each floor.

Being a bit old fashioned, I wouldn’t mind a house standing on the ground, thank you very much. I’d rather look at manufactured homes for sale than live several floors above the ground. I wouldn’t want to be caught in a building during an earthquake.

I just hope there are still enough space for us to build a new home when the time comes to move out of this neighborhood.
