Right side up or upside down?
I really, really thought PED XING is a Chinese name and not something that means “Pedestrian Crossing”.
This street scene is along Roxas Blvd in Manila, where the famous Manila Bay sunset can be seen on a day to day basis (except during rainy days of course, har).
Many posh hotels can be found along this strip where people can stay for a few days of R & R. Some indulge in gastronomic adventures while others shop for alec bradleys, designer bags and shoes or cheap thrills at Chinatown.
We love being on this strip except when there is heavy traffic.
We went to watch a slalom/drifting competition last Sunday afternoon. The kids were excited though they did not enjoy the noise and the smell of burning rubber on concrete.
I took this photo and the son posted it in his Instagram account.
We enjoyed the lively songs being played (it seems like they are using novation launchpad at gc) while each one of the cars dragged and drifted and weaved through the course. There are spectators watching and it seems like they thoroughly enjoyed seeing these cars raced against each others’ time.
If car owners make sure their rides are given protection, then it is also important that they themselves are protected. How? In the form of “investing” in being protected in different ways, whether for a long-term goal for a major purchase, a retirement plan, etc.
I have been reading about annuity / finance theory (click here for more info) and thinking how this is helpful in the future.
I was surprised to see the figures looking so alien, haha. Maybe when the son is taking up Actuarial Science he can explain to me what these mean.

This photo was taken when we went to the 2012 Manila Auto Salon two weeks ago.
We rarely venture out this far because we have malls a few minutes from where we live. This was also a time I spent outdoors without having to watch some DIY videos like baking and hair styling videos that I might need for the coming holidays.
