Morning Sky

First posted here. #PixelStories #PixiePixelStories

There is something about the sea and the early morning cool breeze that makes one feel so alive. The fresh air that smells tangy. The warm seawater is best enjoyed barefoot. The play of colors in the sky is amazing as the sun starts to rise.

I would not mind spending morning at this place where happy memories are made.

A photo of a photo:

Back in 1989, I took this photo at this part of the beach which share the same coastline in my hometown. I have not returned to this place but it was so beautiful that I have not forgotten it. The pine trees standing tall as if sentinels looking out for pirates out on the open seawater. I am glad I took photos of the place and was able to have these developed.

Happy Place

This little corner in our hometown is our happy place. We have made great bonding memories that we will always remember with fondness. It may not be as fancy as other beach areas nor has it sand as white and fine as baby powder. Here we feel at peace, free and happy. This is our favorite “escape” place.

Picnic at the River

One of the highlights of our 2016 summer vacation was when we went to this river. The children and their cousins swam in the big pool-like holes. They stayed in the silver tent for some snacks. My cousin and I stayed in a little pocket pool. These pocket pools were made by the big machineries quarrying the rocks. It was too hot to stay longer so we went back to have lunch at home. These simple bonding moments with family are the things we look forward to whenever we go back home to visit.

Thinking of long gone summer days in the midst of a typhoon.

Blue Hour

Blue hour for BLACK prompt.

The blue hour happens within a short time frame. If you want to take photos of this particular setting, you have to prep beforehand so that everything you need are within easy reach.

It is during this time that people go home to rest (in the normal world without graveyard shift at work), when everything is supposed to slow down. It is this time when even the birds look for shelter to settle for the night.
