Who doesn’t love road trips?

Do you have a list of the things you need to bring when going on a road trip?

  • enough clothes (and appropriate ones too)
  • full tank
  • GPS or road maps
  • money or credit card
  • packed food just in case you can’t eat the food available in the place you are going to
  • charged gadgets or bring your own portable back ups (get Battery Heads here)
  • pillows in the car to keep you comfortable

Above all else, drive safely and have fun.

Have you ever done a “Drop everything and do an unexpected almost 12hr road trip”?

We did. Last Wednesday. Crazy, tiring but fun nonetheless.

I wandered outside in this garden we went to, looking for flowers to photograph while the hubby was talking with friends about cars, high pressure hydraulic hose, fuel injection and things that are familiar terms to me but nonetheless unfamiliar at the same time.

Something beginning with F : flower

i don’t know what this flower is called, but it sure does smell funny. There were other colors of the same flower, in dark pink, light pink, a combination or both pinks, as well as an orange variety.

Help, what is this called? I also think this plant is like a weed or grass or something wild.

Driveby photo of Laguna de Bay on the way to this country house for a day (an afternoon for me, my husband and son) of swimming and bonding with family (the girls went ahead of us):

I think we were in Jala-jala or Pililia when I took this photo.

This would be a nice setting for a few days of quiet and rest after this school year is over. I’m thinking of lying down on a hammock under coconut trees (with the coconuts picked of course!) while listening to my daughter play her affordable acoustic bass guitar to the beat of soft music which will lull me to sleep.

Ahhh…bliss!

One other thing: I hope this place doesn’t have a particular smell.
