Do you see beauty in the most unlikely places?

Sometimes I do, like these tiny flowers from a weed:

We love going to places that are not the usual places where people flock to. In other words, we’d rather go somewhere a bit far without the crowds and we avoid the malls at all costs unless we really need to buy something important.

This same philosophy applies to the education trips that my children go to. They’ve rappelled, zip-lined, waded and bathed in waterfalls and rivers, did spelunking and even had obstacle courses.

Anyway, the husband and I went to Pinto Art Museum last May and we had a wonderful time looking at the artworks displayed there. The place, which looks like a Mission Bell place is just great and you seem to be lost in time absorbing all the visual feast that touches the heart and soul.

Here are just some of the photos I have shared online. When I say few, I mean few because I took more than 600 photos while we were there for three hours. Hah.

Here is another one, an outdoor photo.

A photo of my husband in a contemplative mood, sitting on one of the boulders that is a part of the museum itself.

Postcards

I want to take lovely photos and have these printed as postcards to give to friends.

Untitled

Of course, I need several things to make this dream possible:

  • be crazy creative
  • have an eye for details
  • have the right kind of equipment but hey, I make do with whatever I have and the results are kinda good according to my friends and of course, they are my friends so…
  • just enjoy taking photos of whatever I fancy and who knows, the right opportunity might come along

Who knows, someone might catch my work and feel these are worthy for http://www.printingamerica.com/

P.S. Not because you have that big lens cam hanging on your neck means you are a photographer already, especially when the setting is on AUTO.

Peace!

Scents

I am sensitive with scents.

Though I may not be able to identify food scents with the actual food (I don’t know why) still I am sensitive to scents and much to my chagrin, I am more sensitive to unpleasant scents than to the pleasant ones. Hah.

I love perfume with subtle scents and not overpowering ones.

I love the scent of a newly opened box of crayons.

I used to love the scent of this spray that smells like coffee. And I didn’t know that there actually is a play doh cologne.

flowers

I love the scents of flowers though too much of this make me sneeze.

red flower

I love the scent of freshly cut grass and the scent of rain on grass (not on the asphalt though).

Solitary

I love the scent of the air at the beach. A clean beach of course and not one littered with trash.

What scent do you like most?

Floating Balls

Nope, this photo below is not fake nor it is a part of a visual reporting dossier.

Floating balls

These are in fact floating plastic balls in a swimming pool. Yep, photo looks fake.

Photo first posted here.

These floating balls were used during a weekend family outing we had to celebrate the second birthday of the youngest member of the family. These plastic balls provided a lot of fun to the kids, who resorted to playing catch and just plain annoying other by hitting them like snowballs.

I don’t think they brought these balls back home. I think not.
